How do I know which head unit my car has?
You do not need to know. Type the VIN. The portal reads it from the factory build record and shows only the maps that unit accepts. If a combination is not listed for your car, it does not exist.
Is this the same code the dealer gives?
Yes. It is the same activation code, tied to your VIN, the region and the map version. It costs less because there is no workshop time in the price.
Is it safe for the car?
A map update is data. It does not change the engine, the transmission or any driver assistance system. If you want to go back, reinstall the previous map from USB.
What do I need to install it?
A USB stick and the map files for your head unit. You install them yourself. The code unlocks the map — it does not download it.
Do credits expire?
No. They stay on your account until you use them.
What if a code fails to generate?
The credits go back automatically. You pay only for a code that was made. The failed attempt stays visible in your history.
Can I get a refund if I order the wrong thing?
No. All sales are final — a wrong VIN, the wrong region, the wrong version, or a code you already had. Check the car on screen before you confirm. That is why the VIN check is free.
